Caddens Care commitment to speak out against Modern Slavery

The Commonwealth Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Commonwealth Act)  defines modern slavery as:

  •  trafficking in persons 
  •  slavery 
  •  servitude
  • forced marriage 
  • forced labour 
  • debt bondage 
  • deceptive recruiting for labour or services
  • child labour

Caddens Care commitment to speak out against Modern Slavery

Caddens Care has zero tolerance for behaviours that exploit, harm or reduce the rights of human beings to be safe and free from abuse. 

To combat Modern Slavery, Caddens Care has:

1. An anti-modern slavey policy that helps staff identify and respond to modern slavery practices

2. Educated our workers to ensure they understand their rights an

Caddens Care has zero tolerance for behaviours that exploit, harm or reduce the rights of human beings to be safe and free from abuse. 

To combat Modern Slavery, Caddens Care has:

1. An anti-modern slavey policy that helps staff identify and respond to modern slavery practices

2. Educated our workers to ensure they understand their rights and how to take action if they are subjected to unfair or harmful work practices

3. Ethically sourced our resources to ensure items are purchased from businesses that do not employ modern day slaver

4. Encouraged staff and the community to speak out if they believe a person is a victim of modern day slavery

 If you or someone is in immediate danger call the Police on 000. 

 If you believe someone is  in danger of modern slavery practices, you can contact the 

Australian Federal Police T: 131 237 or E: NOSSC-Client-Liaison@afp.gov.au  (if this is happening in another country you can contact  slavery.consultations@abf.gov.au.
