About the role!
Caddens Care Occupational Therapist will support people living with a disability to optimise quality of life, develop and maintain independence, enhance social and communication skills and achieve goals. Caddens Care are keen supporters of innovation and evidence-based treatment methods to ensure quality of services and positive outcomes for people living with a disability. Caddens Care works with people from 7 years to 65 years so you will have an interesting and varied role supporting people to live the life they choose and improve day to day functioning.
Caddens Care Occupational Therapist will work collaboratively as part of the care team for people living with a disability. You will complete accurate assessments with each person and ensure effective services, treatments and communication with people living with a disability.
Responsibilities of Caddens Care Occupational Therapist will include:
· Develop and deliver evidence based, person centred assessment, clinical management and intervention to people with physical, cognitive or psycho-social disability in line with NDIS Plan goals
· Assess and provide high quality reports for people living with a disability and their occupational strengths and needs with selfcare, living skills, communication, social interaction, play and productivity.
· Implement evidence based occupational therapy programs using an appropriate intervention style for people living with a disability.
· Identify and recommend modifications to physical and sensory environments to promote the goals of people living with a disability enjoy safe environments and participate to their fullest extent within the community.
· Build relationships and networks with other professionals, services and allied health with service implementation and program coordination
· Complete and maintain documentation and correspondence including assessment reports, progress notes, data entry and referral letters for people living with a disability
· Develop and support implementation of training for people living with a disability, their families, support workers and other stakeholders to support safe service delivery and enhance quality of life
· Participate in quality improvement and allied health service delivery projects as requested by Caddens Care Director

What you need to join the Caddens Care Team
· Qualifications in Occupational Therapy
· Registration with Australia Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency (AHPRA)
· Strong understanding and commitment to the Child Safe Standards and NDIS Practice Standards
· Experience working as an Occupational Therapist or placement experience for a recent graduate
· Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
· Experience in person centred care through effective assessment, care planning, case conferencing and review of support plans
· Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
· Experience meeting deadlines and organisational goals
Caddens Care undertakes compliance checks for all prospective employees. You must be eligible to work in New South Wales and able to provide:
· NDIS Worker Clearance
· Police Criminal History Check (completed within 12 months)
· Working with Children Check
· First Aid Certificate
· Valid Driver Licence and access to a safe vehicle
· Quality, Safety & You Certificate
· Two referees, including a current supervisor, who can explain why your skills, experience and personal attributes make you an ideal candidate for our team
